love this app!

I decided to make the move about a year ago. I left Adobe and I think I would never go back now that I have full control of ACDsee Ultimate. Simple and easy to learn, really fast, super complete for the every day editing and retouching. I see it as having LR and PH together in one software. Simple and complete asset management. Thank you!

Over the last last two years, I have struggled to find the right tools for my photography work. I have tried them all, Lightroom, Luminar, Apple Photos, Darktable and many more. But nothing was working for me at all. I knew about ACDSee but thought it was only for Windows so was surprised to see the Mac version. This at last is the one which does all that I need.

Much of my work is with scanned film though I do have many RAW digital images too. The film pictures often have difficult dust and scratch faults which have to be removed before I start to properly edit them. So my workflow involves collecting scanned master files in folders then working on copies. For difficult tasks, I use Affinity Photo. So now with ACDSee, I can easily manage my collection directly in the disk folders, deal with noise and dust in Affinity, then do final editing and metadata edits before pushing jpegs out to cloud services for sharing.

All of this is done on my bottom of the line Mac Mini (though it does have 32Gb of RAM) and I have not had any performance problems at all. Please reassure me that a version for Apple Silicon is coming soon too though.
