Known Issues
- AI Super-Resolution cannot be run on GPU on a computer with less than 4GB VRAM.
- AI Super-Resolution can switch to CPU on a computer with 4+ GB VRAM if the system is under heavy load.
- AI Super-Resolution has a limit of 16,000 pixels.
- Batch AI Super-Resolution only shows the preview for the first image.
- Some H.265/HEVC videos with HDR enabled cannot seek in View mode. Moving the play head will cause the video player to freeze. The application will not freeze, and you will be able to switch to another file or leave View mode to recover. We have reported this issue to Microsoft as it appears to be outside of ACDSee’s control.
- GPS metadata cannot be saved to HEIC files on the Map pane. HEIC files cannot be dragged to the Map, and HEIC files with GPS metadata will not save any changes to position.
- Metadata embedded into a sidecar .xmp file for AVIF files cannot be read.
- New folders cannot be created in the SmugMug uploader.
- The Actions Browser can only be activated in one instance of ACDSee in Manage mode at a time.
- Drag & drop from mobile devices to Windows® Explorer® does not work but dragging and dropping from mobile devices within ACDSee is supported.
- Deleting images in a folder does not update the folder’s thumbnail in other tabs.
- Keyword fields are limited to 64 characters.
- If a video cannot be decoded, it will not be returned by the Video Special Items search.
- UTF-16 files missing a byte order mark cannot be imported as a keyword list.
- GPR thumbnail may not display when importing from or browsing in a camera device.
- Importing images from a network location with the option of “Preserve subfolder names” may not import images properly.
- Database conversion and database export/import do not transfer keyword and category keyboard shortcuts.
- Keyboard shortcuts for External Editors cannot be imported from 2024 to 2025.
- Keyboard shortcuts for ACDSee Keywords & Categories cannot be imported from a previous version.
- Watermark shows an incorrect preview in certain scenarios.
- It is recommended that you restart ACDSee after importing a Lightroom™ database.
- Reset Layout does not reset multiple image baskets.
- Pasting files in View mode may produce unexpected results.
- Negative values for Mask Shift will remove the mask from the edge of the image.
- .acdc format is not supported in Develop mode.
- When using Sky Replacement on two layers of different sizes, the smaller layer’s sky will bleed outside of the selected layer.
- ACDSee uses the base layer’s color profile for any additional layers.
- In the ACDSee Layered Editor, masks cannot be added when using the Move tool.
- If you close the Recording Actions dialog, it is hidden until the next Action recording.
- Copying a layer does not include copying layer effects.
- ACDSee 365 mode does not support multiple image baskets.
Not Supported
- DNGs with gain table maps developed in 2025 may appear incorrect when viewed in 2024.
- Actions from 2024 with Blur Background and Black & White Background are not supported in 2025.
- Animated AVIF files are not supported and will not display.
- HDR AVIF files are not supported.
- ACDSee does not preserve layers when editing GSD, PSD and TIFF files.
- Canon C-RAW is not supported.
